About the Author

Hi, I’m the writer behind Therapy for Thought! The name is a play on words of the phrase “food for thought” — except instead of offering thoughts that simply make you think, I hope to offer thoughts that heal, challenge, comfort, and invite deeper self-reflection.

I take psychotherapy concepts and make them more accessible for daily life — so you can find greater clarity, emotional balance, and build healthier patterns of thinking and relating — especially if you have never done therapy but want to understand why you think, feel, and relate the way they do.

I’m a master’s student (MDiv) in clinical counselling/psychotherapy, currently in my practicum, sharing digestible, practical ways to understand and apply concepts around emotional, mental, and relational wellbeing - drawing from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and relational frameworks such as Bowenian theory. My Christian faith informs my perspective as I share psychotherapy concepts with care, focused on wellbeing across different areas of everyday life. I'm learning too, and I share what I can in ways that are meaningful and supportive - so you can use them in your everyday life, alongside me. My work here is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for therapy. If you're looking for support, consider reaching out to a licensed professional or a trusted local resource.
